Where do you shop?

A majority of y'all know that I am avid coupon and sale shopper. I have been using coupons for 9 years. Since then, things have drastically changed in the coupon world. Coupon usage has exploded. I can walk into Dollar Tree on Sunday morning and see folks just loading up their buggies with Sunday papers. It is not uncommon for me to see people buying 10 papers. WOW!!

I now go to the grocery store and the shelves are cleared, there are no coupons in the "blinkie machine" and I need to get 6 rain checks..my every visit. I literally used to be the only person in the grocery store shufflin' through coupons.

Now, everyone totes around coupon binders and their Southern Savers printed list. Next time you go to the grocery store, just look around.

I get fired up about a good deal. I enjoy saving money and using coupons but, one thing that I have learned over the years..."You can't get EVERY deal." You will run yourself ragged trying. Just pray about where the Lord would have you shop. He wants you to involve HIM in every decision of your life. He cares for you.

If you have the time and have the opportunity...it might not be unrealistic for you to shop at Publix, Winn Dixie, Aldi and CVS all in one week.

Before we had three children, I went to many stores a week. I was able to maximize my savings and build one serious stock pile. I am thankful for that season.

Where do I shop now?

Once a week, I load up the "grocery getter" and we go to Publix and Aldi. If I can't make it to Publix, we will go to Winn Dixie and Target.

Once a month..we load up the "grocery getter" and head to Costco. I know y'all are climbing the walls right now. "Kristi, why do you shop at Costco when you can walk away from Publix with a buggy load of groceries for $35?

Let me share with you..why I shop at Costco:

1. I buy items at Costco that I cannot find on SALE at my local grocery stores.

Raisins, Dried Cranberries, Honey, Soy Sauce, Mexican Queso cheese, Carnation Instant Breakfast, Pretzel Chips, Yeast in bulk, Chicken Bouillon

2. I buy items that even on sale and with a coupon, it is still less expensive to buy at Costco.

Ziploc baggies, Trash Bags, V8 Fusion, Small individual size bags of chips, Gain laundry detergent, Bounce dryer sheet

3. We need to buy in bulk. We eat a bunch. Smile with me.

Stay encouraged and pray about the food you eat and the stores you frequent. It pleases HIM.

I have unloaded the dishwasher twice today.....Kristi
