"Kitchen" Stores and a Donut Pan

Y'all know how much I love kitchen gadgets and appliances. So, I bet y'all will never guess where I like to shop?

Recently, my daughter and I went shopping at a "kitchen store". We could of stayed in the store for hours just looking and piddlin' around. But, my dear husband and two boys were in the car waiting. They are very patient about me shopping. I am thankful. My husband never fusses at me and my boys are troopers.

I have been on a mission. I have been trying to find a do-nut pan. I have been specifically looking for Wilton brand do-nut pan, whew...they are hard to find.

Mission accomplished...a do-nut pan. It is not Wilton brand but, it can still crank out some doughnuts. Yes ma'am!!

** side note: I would not say that I am a 'brand loyal' person, but there are just some things that I really prefer. When baking, Wilton brand products. When we let our children eat pop-tarts..Kellogg's! Dawn dish soap, Mr. Clean all-purpose cleaner..ect.

I thought I would share some doughnut recipes with you that call for a do-nut pan.

Had to take a picture of one of my favorites...the price tag was $25. In my opinion, it is worth every penny. I think I paid about $20 for mine.

Donut dishes....literally! smile. Kristi

  1. Kristi- What store were you in? I'm not recognizing it at the moment, and I want the basic color sprinkles! Haha ;) . I'm also getting ready to be looking for some new cooking utensils...

    Love the blog!

  2. Andee...Unfortunately, we were in Florida. Sorry. I sure wish we had a super "kitchen" store in our neck of the woods. smile.

If you are looking for basic color sprinkles, you may want to try Wal-mart in Hoover. They have a huge selection of Wilson products. (the sprinkles you see in the photo are Wilson brand) Hope this helps! Love you.

  3. Andee...if you are looking for cooking gadgets, you can find a great selection at Bed Bath and Beyond. They accept coupons. They accept one coupon per item purchased. If you purchase 3 items, they allow you to use 3 coupons. Great deal! Good savings! smile.

  4. Thanks, Kristi! I hadn't thought about BB&B for cooking stuff (because they are so expensive compared to, say, Walmart, lol), but if I snag my mom's coupons too, I can get some nice stuff (OXO makes the BEST carrot peeler I've ever had, btw!), thanks! I can hit WM while I'm there :) . Oh, and Tuesday Morning sometimes gets in a fun selection of kitchen stuff, you just never know what they are going to have! haha ;).

    Thanks!

  5. Oh Andee, Thank you for reminding me. I haven't been to Tuesday Morning in years. I'll have to make a visit before they close for the season. Thank you!
